Euan talks about watching the world go by in the wrong side of the tracks in syndey.
And it reminds me that although my own family wasn't well off when I was younger there is many from a lot harsher backgrounds. I wonder how many from them backgrounds go into computers, gaming, art and writing?

I would make a guess not too many in computer's and the net. Quite a few in gaming and art. Not so many blogging, but maybe writing.

Shows how much ignorance there still is in the world. How much still has to be done to educate women and fight for civil rights. It is easier for gay men and women to catch HIV than straight men, but that does not men straight men can not catch it.

I was talking to two south african women in the last year, one white, one black. Both had left the country as they had young daughters. They were frighting that their children would be raped due to the belief that raping a virgin cures aids. Reading this you might not belive me. You may say this women is racist thats why she says this. I wish I was if it would stop this.

The black women said in the village she was born in, a tiny nowhere place like my own home town, had a terrible case a month before she left. A father raped his 10 month old baby to cure his aids. The wife caught him in the act. She called the police to stop him, they did. She asked them to wait a while before taking him away so she could speak to him in private. The police obliged. When they came back, she had murdered him.

Maybe I should not tell you this story, maybe I should leave your eyes closed and ears stopped. But I cant. I was horrified, I was terrified, I felt helpless when I heard that story.
